Why?

The Holy Bible is no ordinary book. When the Holy Spirit intercedes in your life and the scales are removed from your eyes (Acts 9:18), and you realize that the Bible is the Word of God, it becomes “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Heb 4:12). It is then that the words of Jesus, fending off the temptations of the devil in a Judean desert, echoed a thousand years earlier by Moses on the banks of the Jordan river, take root. “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Mat 4:4). We, believers in Christ, feed on his word, we rely on it to guide and direct us in all we do. “All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for the training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2Tim 3:16-17).  It is in this light that I approach each Bible that comes into my shop for repair. The Word of God is the most valuable possession a person can own, “God’s sacred Word . . . that inestimable treasure that excelleth all the riches of the earth.”  (KJV translators 1611) and if I can extend the life of well worn Bible, a Bible that has been a constant companion, then I’m honored to do so. My name is James Gagnon, I started Rocky Mountain Bibles in 2018. I've lived in Colorado my whole life and am now raising a family with my wife in beautiful Woodland Park, CO.  My life was saved after reading the Holy Bible. I had read many books in my life but none of them stuck with me the way the Bible did. It was different, it was alive. It was God's Word and it shook me to my core. Since then, I've combined my love of the Bible with my love for leatherwork and the wild animals that we live with and that provide us with so much.
